The Association of Palestinian Local Authorities conducted the second meeting of the "Inclusion of Marginalized Groups in Palestinian Local Authorities" taskforce, with the aim of exploring and analyzing APLA's plans developed for inclusion of marginalized groups in the work of local authorities. The meeting took place at APLA's office in Ramallah, attended by 9 representatives of local authorities, members of the taskforce, funded by the EU under APLA's Multi-Annual Action Plan "MAAP" Project.

APLA's Gender Coordinator, Abeer Nouh, presented APLA's Gender Plan 2023-2026, in addition to the proposed action plan of the inclusion taskforce for the upcoming term, and local authorities' plans for inclusion of marginalized groups. She further clarified that this meeting comes in continuation of the activities of the inclusion taskforce and APLA's efforts to achieve inclusion in the work of local authorities, and guaranteeing the consideration of different needs and active participation of marginalized groups in local communities. Moreover, the participants led a social activity to identify the roles and responsibilities of the inclusion taskforce based on the abovementioned action plan.

It is worth mentioning that the aim behind forming the inclusion taskforce is to include local authorities in developing the perception and concepts of inclusion, exchange relevant expertise and experiences, and advance the role of APLA in unifying efforts and exchange at the level of local authorities. Additionally, to establish a joint and comprehensive vision from APLA and the representatives of local authorities. This will help push forward in developing plans built and implemented by all parties related to the inclusion of marginalized groups at the local level.
