Minister of Local Governance, Eng. Majdi Al-Saleh, met with the President of the Association of Palestinian Local Authorities "APLA", Abdlekarim Al-Zubeidi, to discuss several issues related to the reality of local authorities, the work mechanisms and cooperation in the next period between APLA and the Ministry of Local Governance "MoLG". He emphasized the importance of complementary partnerships among all components of the local governance sector in order to unify the efforts aspiring to its development.

During the meeting, both sides, along with APLA's Executive Director, Eng. Abdallah Anati and the Minister's Advisor, Walid Abu Halaweh, discussed several issues including the income tax and the dues of local authorities as well as the fees of professional licenses. Moreover, APLA informed MoLG on the details of the French Palestinian Decentralized Cooperation Conference, intended for upcoming May with more than 100 French municipalities participating. The Minister's participation was confirmed as well as the Ministry's complete readiness to cooperate with APLA to help the conference succeed and achieve its goals and objectives.
