Local Government Units in Hebron Governorate Complete Selection of Representatives to APLA’s Board of Directors

Local Government Units in Hebron Governorate have completed the process of selecting their representatives to serve on the Board of Directors of the Association of Palestinian Local Authorities (APLA) for the new term. The selection took place during a meeting held in the city of Halhul, attended by Hebron Governor H.E. Mr. Khaled Dudin and the heads of local government units in the governorate.
During the meeting, representatives of the local government units in Hebron Governorate were selected to serve on APLA’s Board of Directors, in accordance with the Association’s internal bylaws and the approved roadmap for the transitional phase. This step aims to strengthen the representation of local government units in the governorate and pave the way for completing the formation of the Board of Directors, followed by the Executive Board, for the new term.
Participants emphasized the importance of this step in strengthening institutional and collective action among local government units, unifying efforts to represent their interests and safeguard their rights, and contributing to the development of the local government sector and its ability to respond to the growing challenges and needs of local communities.
The completion of the selection process in Hebron Governorate comes as part of the ongoing electoral process across the different governorates, launched by APLA to form its new Board of Directors in accordance with its internal bylaws. The process will pave the way for completing the formation of the Executive Board and allocating responsibilities and administrative positions in line with the regulatory frameworks governing the Association’s work.
