APLA and the Arab Urban Development Institute Sign a Cooperation Agreement

The Association of Palestinian Local Authorities (APLA) and the Arab Urban Development Institute (AUDI) signed a cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening collaboration in building the capacities of LGUs personnel and the local governance sector in Palestine, in a way that supports the development of municipal work and the exchange of expertise in the fields of urban development. The agreement was signed on the sidelines of APLA’s participation in the World Urban Forum (WUF13), held in Baku, Azerbaijan.
This agreement was signed by Eng. Abdallah Anati, Executive Director of APLA, and Dr. Anas Al-Mughairy, Director General of AUDI, in the presence of H.E. Dr. Sami Hijjawi, Minister of Local Government in Palestine, and Mr. Abdul Karim Al-Zubaidi, President of APLA, alongside members of the Palestinian delegation participating in the forum.
The agreement comes within APLA’s efforts to strengthen the capacities and efficiency of LGUs, while also expanding prospects for cooperation and partnership between both sides through the implementation of specialized training programs and the promotion of digital transformation within the local government sector. This contributes to advancing municipal work and supporting sustainable development pathways in Palestine.
