The Association of Palestinian Local Authorities "APLA" demands the government and security forces to put an end to the attacks on local authorities, and to seriously put an end to the chaos, and demands the Tribes in Hebron to assume their responsibility and to remove their cover to the perpetrators of such serious violations.
APLA condemns the cheap attempt on the life of the member of Hebron Municipal Council, Abdelkarim Farrah, as he was physically assaulted and his vehicle was burned. This comes few days apart from similar attacks on the members and staff of Hebron Municipality. Refraining from arresting these outlaws will lead to more attacks, leading to a larger security chaos, which must be avoidable.
APLA emphasizes that local authorities, their mayors, council members and staff are national institutions created to serve the citizens, and assaulting them is a crime that requires deterrent measures against any perpetrator.
The security forces and the Palestinian government are required to take immediate and decisive measure to put an end to all these attacks and violations.
