The Association of Palestinian Local Authorities "APLA" denounces the shooting against the house of the Mayor of Az'Za'ayyem, Dr. Durgham Khalil, committed by a group of outlaws.

The Mayor of Az'Za'ayyem and all the municipal staff and teams are performing their tasks and duties towards the citizens of their town under extremely difficult circumstances, and committing such an act by group of outlaws is a shame.

APLA urges the security forces to speed up the process of finding the perpetrators and presenting them to trial, emphasizing its support to Dr. Durgham and the Municipaliy of Az'Za'ayyem. APLA will make sure to follow up on these practices, which have been committed repeatedly against Mayors and staff of local authorities recently, with the competent parties in order to put an end to these violations and attacks.
