President of the Association of Palestinian Local Authorities "APLA", Abdelkarim Al-Zubeidi, held a meeting to discuss the requirements of fulfilling the representation of Jerusalem governorate in APLA's Administrative Committee. The meeting was attended by the Mayor of Kufr Aqab, Imad Awad, the Mayor of Al-Zu'ayyim, Dr. Dergham Khalil, the Mayor of Al-Jeeb, Samer Abed Rabbo, Mayor of Al-Qbeiba, Nafez Hammoudah, and APLA's Executive Director, Eng. Abdallah Anati.

Al-Zubeidi emphasized the particularity of Jerusalem governorate and the importance of representing it in APLA's committees as well as the potential role it can play in opening new horizons and opportunities for local authorities in Jerusalem governorate, especially networking opportunities with local authorities from countries around the world in order to mobilize aid and support, sharing the suffering of local authorities and exposing the Israeli practices in international podiums and platforms.

The mayors emphasized the importance of the role APLA plays in favor of the collective interests of Palestinian local authorities, enhancing their capacities and powers, as well as the importance of activating the membership of the local authorities in Jerusalem governorate in all activities and events of APLA, and its specialized committees, especially those related to policies and amending systems and laws.
