The President of the Association of Palestinian Local Authorities (APLA) Mr. Mousa Hadid and the Executive Director of APLA Mr. Abdallah Anati hosted the Hungarian Head of Mission to Palestine Dr. Csaba Rada and his Deputy Roland Friedrich. The meeting is part of the preparation for the visit to Ramallah at the end of the month by the Minister of State-designate for Local Government Affairs in Hungary.  

The meeting addressed the means of enhancing joint cooperation between Palestinian and Hungarian towns. Mr. Hadid explained the national role of Palestinian municipalities and their role in delivering services despite the political impediments. Mr. Hadid invited mayors of Hungarian cities to visit Palestine to be familiarized with the situation and work of municipalities and to exchange expertise.   

Dr. Rada praised the efforts of APLA to enhance the local government sector of Palestine. He asserted the importance of institutionalizing relations among Palestinian and Hungarian municipalities and exchange of expertise.
