The Association of Palestinian Local Authorities (APLA) calls upon the Municipalities Unions of the world countries and cities who advocate the Palestinian cause, to stand against President Donald Trump’s last decision on recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's Capital, while stating that Jerusalem was and will always remain the eternal capital of Palestine, asking friends from all over the world to act out and support our people in their demand of justice in the establishment of an independent Palestinian State with East Jerusalem as its Capital, and to raise their voice in all local and international forums to expose the occupation’s practices and the consequences of the American decision in violating the international law and resolutions of international legitimacy.
APLA support President Mahmoud Abbas stand, and what was declared in his speech about Jerusalem yesterday before the Islamic Cooperation Congress, in which he rejected the US unilateral, illegitimate and false resolutions, calling upon the world to further consider its recognition of an Israeli State as long as it insists on violating the rules of the international laws and resolutions.
Locally, APLA declares it obvious stand to not welcome the US Vice President Mike Pence in any of its cities and salutes its people for their powerful stand against the US excessive decision.
