Within the Palestinian-German municipal partnership project and in cooperation with APLA and GIZ's Local Governance Reform Program and the Service Agency Communities in One World 'SKEW' at the Engagement Global, a workshop titled 'Partnership Projects for Sustainable Local Development' (NAKOPA) was organized in Jericho.

The workshop was designed to present the Service Agency's support instruments provided by ‘Nakopa’ for the joint projects of the Palestinian-German Municipalities. The workshop also gave the Palestinian Municipalities an opportunity to present their best practices and jointly identify factors that help make the implementation of partnership projects with German partners a success.  

APLA's Executive Director Eng. Abdallah Anati welcomed the German delegation who represents this program during the meeting, and explained the importance of activating and promoting these partnerships, and pointing out the profound relations between Palestinian Municipalities and its German counterparts. Stressing the need to maintain and develop bilateral relations between the two countries.

It is worth mentioning that (Nakopa) program offers funding to support municipal partnership projects and works on achieving their sustainable objectives.
