AL-Hamdallah and APLA discusses Ways to Improve Services Provided to Citizens

Prime Minister Dr. Rami Al-Hamdallah and the Association of Palestinian Local Authorities (APLA) sought ways to develop the services provided to citizens and implementing the operational project which acts to lower the unemployment rate.

 During the meeting held in Prime Ministers’ office and attended by the Local Government Minister Dr. Hussein Al-Araj, Al-Hamdallah discussed the situation of Municipalities and Councils and the main challenges facing them, stressing the continuous government full support for its work advancement.

Various issues and topics related to developing the Local Government work were consulted. As well as, promoting the decentralization concept in Municipalities and Local Councils work, to expand its powers and improve its services.  

 It has been agreed upon forming a Committee derived from both the Ministry of Local Government and APLA to study, discuss, and amend the new Mayors and Councilors bylaw to reach a consensus bylaw between all parties.
