APLA Calls on Friends among Arab and International Town Halls to Put Pressure on Israel after Deducting Palestinian Clearance Revenue

The Association of Palestinian Local Authorities (APLA) calls on pro-Palestinian partner organizations across the world and friends of Palestine among town halls to stand out against the decision of the so-called Israeli Cabinet to deduct more than 120 million Euros from Palestinian tax revenue.

APLA condemns the Israeli wrongful decision. APLA also rejects all Israeli grave measures in all areas including land confiscation, clamping down on the lives of Palestinian people, and defiance of signed agreements including the recent decision of the government of the occupation to deduct money from the clearance revenues. The deduction will impede the function of the Palestinian Government and its capacity to fulfill obligations towards Palestinian people and will undermine the Palestinian economy. APLA asserts that these decisions are parts of a systematic Israeli plan to undermine the Palestinian National Authority and obliterate the chances of establishing the State of Palestine in accordance with international law.

APLA confirms that it will work hard to expose the actions taken by the occupation and explain the danger of the recent decision, which entails the theft of Palestinian people’s money and harms their livelihoods. This will be conducted by communicating with all partners and friends among organizations across the world to affirm the just demands of the Palestinian people in all Arab and international arenas and to brief them about the impacts of the decision. APLA demands that a decisive position is taken to put pressure on the occupation government and to end such measures that violate international laws and resolutions. APLA affirms its position in support of the Palestinian leadership’s decision to reject any harming of the rights and resources of our people.
