the Association of Palestinian Local Authorities is organizing a special event: "SDGs Day: Go Local." Which is an event organized by APLA with the primary objective of launching the recently developed Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Localization Plan; which it provides needed guidance to LGUs to achieve SDGs at the local level, as well as monitoring and evaluation by collecting, disaggregating, and aligning local data with SDG indicators. Moreover, APLA will launch the SDGs Portal, which will serve as the central platform for documenting the valuable contributions of local government units towards achieving the SDGs in Palestine.
This event is designed to create a dynamic and engaging experience for Participants from all Palestinian Municipalities and Local partners. It aims to foster active participation, knowledge sharing, and collaboration to make a positive impact on sustainable development efforts in Palestine.
The event is scheduled for Tuesday, September 19 2023, from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM at Millennium Hotel - Ramallah. Happening at the same time with the SDGs Summit in New York, it represents a pivotal moment in advancing progress towards the SDGs, guided by high-level political directives for transformative actions.
